The WHONET software is available in 53 languages and supports local, national, regional, and global surveillance efforts in over 130 countries worldwide.

Objectives
- Training of key staff in the use of WHONET software – develop centralised training which can be adapted for specific groups and delivered to attendees from different countries.
- Provision of ongoing technical support – provide ongoing technical support to WHONET software users and to national and regional trainers and technical support individuals and advances in the WHONET and BacLink desktop software.
- Develop a web presence for WHONET – establish tools and strategies to expand web-based access to WHONET data, analyses, and reports, in part through new software development, e.g. online data entry for peripheral laboratories and integration with existing web-based platforms, such as DHIS2.
